Connections to Independence (C2i)

C2i provides programming and advocacy for foster care youth, 15 – 24, promoting a successful transition to living independently. Services are designed to meet county goals, preparing youth as they age out of foster care. C2i focuses on five core competencies: Financial Literacy, Housing, Employment, Education & Personal Wellness. C2i services are individualized based on their ILP.

CitySquare Transition Resource Action Center (TRAC)

TRAC (Transition Resource Action Center) is the North Texas regional transition center providing services and support to young adults who have aged out of the state foster care system. TRAC services include life skills training, comprehensive case management, housing and rental assistance, and employment services. Eligible youth are 16-24 years old.

The LIFE (Learning Independence from Experience) Project promotes self-confidence and self-sufficiency for eligible young adults by providing independent living housing options and skills development. THRU Project

THRU Project connects current and former foster youth (16 and older) with a volunteer Advisor (mentor) to help guide and support them as they transition out of the foster care system. Advisors help youth navigate their resources, advocate for them when needed and, most important, let them know they are not alone during this critical time.

Auberle’s 412 Youth Zone

The 412 Youth Zone is a safe and welcoming one-stop center for youth ages 16-23, that are transitioning out of the foster care system and are eligible for independent living services or are experiencing unstable housing. The program, a vision of Allegheny County’s Department of Human Services, is designed for 1,500 eligible youth to gain stability and independence.
