The mission of Opportunity House is to create a St. Louis where all young people have access to safe and stable housing. The Opportunity House approach is to provide housing, create stability, encourage growth and build community.
Our teen/young adult free store serves older foster youth and former foster youth and provides the tangible goods and tools to help them in their journey toward successful independence. We provide furniture, household essentials, clothing, hygiene and bath items, and we also offer HiSET Scholarships for those who would like to earn their GED.

Home Works USA provides affordable rental housing for emerging adults aging out of foster care. They are developing a replicable model community to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing for emerging adults who have aged out of foster care. Their motto is “Home Works, Nature Helps, and Services Matter.”
Saints House provides transitional housing, mentoring and coaching for youth 18-23 who has transitioned out of the foster care system.
Jim Riley Outreach operates two transitional living homes in Collin County that serve young adults who have aged out of foster care, or who are homeless and without critical supports. We provide a safe living environment, equip residents with life skills, foster educational and career advancement, and build a network of support around them through mentors and individual coaching.
A Way Home America is an advocacy organization ending homelessness for Black, Indigenous, youth of color, and LGBTQ+ youth, on a path to ending it for all.
