The Fostering Change Network Foundation (FCN Foundation) is a nonprofit organization with a mission of providing alumni of the foster care system ages 25 and over with resources that will support their personal and professional development and endeavors within the child welfare and social enterprise fields.
Foster Progress empowers Illinois youth currently or formerly in foster care to attain a college degree and transition into adulthood successfully by providing mentorship, advocacy, and educational opportunity.
Florida Youth SHINE (Striving High for INdependence and Empowerment) is a youth run, peer driven organization working hard to change the culture of Florida’s child welfare system. FYS is proudly supported by Florida’s Children First (FCF). FCF is a non-profit child advocacy organization dedicated to fighting for the rights of Florida’s at-risk children.
Our programs are open to all youth in and from care in BC between the ages of 14 and 24 and our goal is to make sure that all young people are connected with opportunities to express their unique voice and reach their full potential. Our mission is to protect the rights of children in poverty and those overcoming abuse and neglect. By delivering free legal services, supportive programs that create pathways to education and jobs, advocacy, and systemic solutions, the Alliance levels the playing field and ensures that children who experience foster care are able to fulfill their potential.
Tipping Point’s Better Futures for Foster Youth initiative provides a path out of poverty and weaves a robust safety net for all transition-aged foster youth in our community. It aims to change policy and systems to help secure stable housing, pursue and persist in higher education, and get better access to the supports and services these youth deserve.
Phones for Fosters currently provides free smartphones and unlimited data through T-Mobile to older youth at risk of aging out of care.
When young people age out of foster care at age 18, they often struggle with common tasks like maintaining a job, applying to college and getting their first apartment. Wellpoint’s Youth Transitioning to Adulthood program aims to support former foster youth as they navigate life as an adult on their own.
