Teen Focus Permanency Specialists work with youth and young adults to establish legal or relational permanency, or meaningful connections with others. The goal is to have at least one adult connection in the community that they can call upon, a person who knows them and cares about them and their success.
Project Hope strives to match current and former foster youth, as well as, other at-risk youth from the community, ages 13-21, with a positive, caring adult in the community to coach them in daily living activities, be a listening ear, introduce them to new opportunities, empower them to make responsible decisions, and spend time pursuing activities of shared interest.

In Ohio, county public children services agencies are required to provide independent living services to all youth ages 14 and older who are in foster care, to help prepare them for future self-sufficiency. They also may be available to 18-20-year-olds who aged out of foster care and who request help.
For our Residential Living Program the three indicators of success for each young woman leaving our care are: securing an individual mentor who will maintain the relationship after discharge, obtaining a driver’s license, and employment eligibility and the ability to enroll in college or vocational courses.
