River Jordan Inc focuses on helping transition age foster youth become responsible and productive members of society through our Community Transitional housing program, Pre-Aging Out Foster Care Recovery Coaching, which also includes life skill training, and the best practice Fostering Success training model. In 2010 we opened the John H. Allen Career and Vocational Center on the grounds of Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston. This new facility contains a barbering school, a welding center, building construction classes and GED classrooms. We want our kids to dream BIG, possible dreams!
College: FOFK provides storage containers filled with school supplies and all the essentials needed to transition into dormitory living. FOFK continually works to seek out opportunities to build our scholarship program. Careers: FOFK is developing training programs to guide with social skill, etiquette, and confidence building. We are bridging foster youths with employment opportunities.
Eddy House is the central intake and assessment facility in Northern Nevada. The objective of the Eddy House is to end youth homelessness in Reno, Nevada. To accomplish this, we identify homeless, at-risk, and aged-out foster youth through extensive outreach in Downtown Reno.
Many youths in the community are struggling to make the transition to young adulthood, but they do not need emergency shelter services. The Transitional Services Program is available to youth ages 16 to 21 years old to help them learn the skills necessary to become strong, independent young adults.

Bright Spot Ventures is a social enterprise that was created by West End Neighborhood House in April of 2010 thanks to a generous gift from Barclays US. The program was designed to give Delaware’s former foster care youth real-world, paid employment experience (for many their first) in a contextual learning environment.
Aunt Leah’s Place helps prevent children in foster care from becoming homeless and mothers in need from losing custody of their children. To support them on their journey to self-sufficiency, we provide supported housing, job training, and coaching on essential life skills.
